Minister's Message ...Fall 2004
  Message du ministre....automne 2004
Push against the darkness

Light a candle each day and pray that we may be changed.

Hold the hand of someone who is sick or dying and gently say nothing.

Absorb the colours of the autumn and redecorate your interior world.

Make a big pot of your favourite soup and give at least half of it away.

When you see the leaves whirling around in a circle be sure to take the time to dance with them.

Write your member of parliament and denounce missiles in space.

Have a glass of wine with the friends you keep promising to see.

Reflect on your charitable givings and vow to give more.

Use the gifts of laughter, forgiveness and compassion daily.

When you are watching the news keep repeating that God is working in the world.

Sing.  Often.

Stay up past your bedtime.

Make a list of things that need to be done ...  And get someone else to do them.

Hug someone ... preferably that you know.

Think outside of the box and then get out of the box.

Light another candle and count yourself lucky that God isn’t finished with you yet.
